Good Old Days - Pompeii

Our Good Old Days history talk this month was slightly different to our previous ones as we went abroad and to ancient history but Paul brought the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 to life, probably not the best term there, as he told us all about the eruption and how it was captured in letters by Pliny the Younger and then about the way Antiquarians and Archaeologists have discovered what happened during the eruption.
