Worcester Foodbank

19 Mar 2020 • St John's Parish News

Due to the current situation the Worcester Foodbank is struggling to meet the needs of its customers.  It is being hit on many fronts, firstly many of its volunteers are in the vulnerable groups themselves and are therefore being forced to self-isolate so there are less helpers.  Secondly due to the selfish panic buying people are unable to get food to donate in the quantities that were coming in.  They are also likely to get even more people turning to them for support as they have less money coming in to the household and nowhere else to turn to.

So how can we/you help out, well our church now has a donation point for the Worcester Foodbank just inside the church, along with our one for Maggs Day Centre, another deserving cause, so you can leave donations of food for either here and we will arrange for it to be taken to the each organisation.  If you think that you can help out at the Foodbank as a volunteer then please contact them here:
